Rajaji National Park in Rishikesh is an Indian national park and tiger reserve that surrounds the Shivaliks near the foothills of the Himalayas. It is spread over 820 km and three districts of Uttarakhand: Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun .Rajaji National Park of India is situated between the Shivalik ranges and the Indo-Gangetic plains. Broad leaf deciduous forests, riverside vegetation, shrubs, meadows and pine forests make up the range of flora in this park. Rajaji National Park is mainly composed of dense green forests, and this environment creates habitat for many animals. The park is on the north-western range of distribution for both elephants and tigers in India. This park is most famous for elephants. Another notable resident is the mountain goat, the goral.
